PSA Posters - Project 3 ART235

For our final project of the class, we were tasked with designing 3 public service announcement posters that all have a consistent concept throughout. I chose a subject near and dear to mine, and many hearts, which is mental health. Many people struggle with mental illness at some point in their lives and there is a negative stigma that goes along with that. I wanted anyone who saw one of my posters to know that it is okay to speak up.

In order to create a consistent concept throughout all 3 of my posters, I chose to represent ending the stigma by ripping away the shame we might feel when we don't feel okay. I experimented with ripping paper in several different ways and was able to visualize how each ripped page might work to show the emotion.
